Frequently Asked Questions
What topics can Al speak on?
After you book, my team will contact you within 1 business day to confirm your goals, audience, and preferred topic. We will also coordinate logistics (platform or venue details, run-of-show, and any A/V requirements).
What happens after I book?
You will receive a booking confirmation immediately. We will then schedule a short organizer call to confirm the event objectives, audience profile, timing, format (keynote or workshop), and any logistical details required for a smooth delivery.
How do deposits and payments work?
A 25% deposit is required to reserve the date. The deposit includes a $500 nonrefundable administrative portion. The remaining balance is due 14 calendar days before the event start time. If you book within 14 calendar days of the event, full payment is due immediately upon booking.
What is included in the fee?
Each package includes live delivery, light customization for your audience and sector, and an organizer call to confirm goals and logistics. Keynotes also include time for moderated Q&A (time permitting). Your booking page includes the specific inclusions for the package you select.
What is “light customization”?
Light customization means aligning the talk or workshop to your audience and context. This typically includes adjusting examples, terminology, and framing to match your sector, role level, and event purpose. If you require deeper customization (e.g., organization-specific scenarios, internal policy alignment, or tailored exercises), we can scope it separately.
Can we choose the platform for virtual events?
Yes. Virtual sessions can be delivered via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or an equivalent platform. If you wish, you can provide the meeting link and host access details at least 72 hours before the event.
What do you need from us for an in-person event?
For in-person engagements, we will confirm the venue address, schedule, audience profile, and A/V requirements in advance. Most events require a reliable microphone (as appropriate to room size), a projector or large display if slides are used, and a moderator for introductions and Q&A.
Do you travel outside Toronto and the GTA?
Yes. For bookings outside Toronto and the GTA, travel and accommodation are additional and are arranged in advance. Travel can be billed at cost with receipts or quoted as a flat travel buyout. I can travel to most destinations worldwide.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel more than 14 calendar days before the event, the $500 administrative fee is nonrefundable, and the remaining deposit is refunded. If you cancel within 14 calendar days of the event, the full deposit is nonrefundable. For outside-GTA engagements, any pre-approved, non-cancellable travel expenses are payable regardless of the timing of cancellation.
What is your rescheduling policy?
One reschedule is permitted with at least 14 calendar days’ notice, subject to availability. The deposit transfers to the new date. Rescheduling within 14 calendar days is treated as a cancellation and rebooking: the original deposit is retained, and a new deposit is required to secure the new date.
Can we record the session?
Internal recording for registered participants is permitted. If you require an internal replay licence for staff who did not attend live, request pricing in advance so we can confirm terms.
Are fees subject to HST?
HST may apply depending on the booking and billing details. If applicable, it will be added to your invoice.
Can you offer preferred pricing for non-profits, academic institutions, or professional associations?
In some cases, yes, subject to availability and event scope. If you are a non-profit, academic institution, regulator, or professional association, include that in your booking notes, and we will review options. Alternatively, we can discuss the matter after booking.
